Job in hospital

My job in a hospital was very different from my job as a receptionist. The jobs differed in physical setting. I work in the Food Service Department which is in the kitchen and it is very loud, noisy dirty. There are three dish machines that were noisy. Also the kitchen smells because of patient’s food being disposed in the garbage. The office in my other job was very quiet and clean because computers and paper work was only involved. It had a very clean smell in the office. The jobs differed in the skills and behavior that was required. In the Hospital it required physical strength. In the office as a filer, it was all mental activity. Just sitting on the computer and taking in phone calls from customers. The environment in the hospital was very polite. Nurses, doctors and other employees are very friendly. Employees in the office were very busy and were too worried about themselves. The jobs differed in the people they brought me contact with. In the hospital I worked with different crew’s everyday. In the office I saw same employees at their desks. Also in the hospital there is a wide variety of employees such as Italian, Spanish, Philippine, Indian, African American and many more. Different languages were spoken all the time in the department. It’s very interesting to hear. Whether in the office there is a variety of people but only speak English. The Education level in the food service was a high school graduate or less. Very few of the employees went to college. Office workers were very well educated and had a high school diploma and up. I experienced two different jobs and was very interesting.
