Washington, D.C!
My Washington trip was one of my favorites. It was definitely a joyous experience. Going on a trip is something that everyone should get to do. Staying home all the time may be boring and may feel as if you?re trapped. Trips can set you free and also can help you learn something new about the place. Washington would be my first trip that I would consider a joyous experience.
Washington is located at the District of Columbia. There I learned much useful educational information. Museums and monuments caught my attention as soon as I arrived there. I wanted to see them all. I?m not quite a reader myself, but I read the information that was imprinted on the monuments and the description under each exhibit in the museum. There is a lot of history involved in this trip, a subject I never paid attention to. I thought that learning this essential history can actually give me something to talk about when I go back home.
My trip to Washington would be my first trip to the District of Columbia because I had gone with the school in the eighth grade. There were no parents, just teachers. I had to wake up early, but I ended up waking up late for the trip. I was unhappy, thinking that I missed the bus, but a couple of minutes later, my friends just kept calling my phone, yelling at me that the whole school was waiting for my arrival. I made a fashionably late entrance and hopped onto the bus. My friends gave me a standing ovation because I?m usually late, and they would always think that I wouldn?t make it on time for the trip. Thankful to my friends, I had a great time there.
How was it a joyous experience, you ask? Well first of all, my roommates and I had the largest room in the hotel besides the penthouse, of course. My room had two single beds and a king sized bed, with two bathrooms, and a 36-inch television. The teachers always told us not to fool around since our room was so big, but who ever listens to them? We never had an assignment or anything. It was just go and have as much fun as you can. Every day, I looked forward to the places we were going to, especially the cruise. I always wanted to ask this girl to dance, but I remembered back then, I was very shy when it came to girls.
The Washington trip will always be in my memories. Although this trip was about five years ago, my memory is so clear. Trips can be a sad or joyous experience. This particular trip is not just joyous but an educational, first-time, funny experience, unlike the story, ?Westbury Court,? I read. I look forward to trips because of the many values I can learn from them. School trips are filled with excitement because they are not a daily event but a once in a while happening.
