A few years ago I watched one classic story, which is as timeless as love itself- William Shakespeare?s ?Romeo and Juliet?. I have already known that story of love that?s why I was surprised after I watched the movie. I didn?t expect to see such a good and simultaneously so different project.

?Romeo and Juliet?, directed by Baz Luhram, opens with a TV?s reporter telling the introduction to the story. Then the action moves to the USA to Verona Beach where the tragedy begins. The children of two discarded families of Montague and Capulet?s fall in love. Romeo (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Juliet (Claire Danse) have to beat a lot of contrasts and relatives to save their love.

Although Shakespeare lived in the 16th century and the action of his drama includes those years, Luhram?s movie is moving to nowadays without introducing any changes. The actors use poetic, rhymed languageas in the Shakespeare?s theater. Only place and clothes change. Marvelous music and gorgeous idea of execution the movie in realities of American city- that should encourage viewers to watch the movie. ?Romeo and Juliet? show us the sad end of love between two people who can?t be together during their life. Only after death their families understand the pointless and foolishness of their dispute and that nobody can stop the true love.
