Poland - report about a country

Aim
This Reports should present you some facts about Poland. These facts are somehow kind of images – how do foreigners recognize Poland.

Main facts and geographical position
Poland is situated in central Europe. The emblem of the country is an eagle with a crown. The national flag is white and red.
Poland has both sea and mountains. There is a Baltic Sea in the North and some ranges of mountains in the South. The highest peak is called Rysy. Poland has some lakes too - this area is called Mazury and is situated in the East-North part of the country. The longest river in Poland is the Vistula.
The capital of Poland is Warsaw. This city is the biggest one in the whole country.

Culture
Poland is well-known from its writers (Sienkiewicz, Reymont, Miłosz), scientists (Kopernik, M.Skłodowska-Curie), painters (Kossak, Matejko) and film directors (Polański, Wajda).
Poland has many monument which come from all the periods of history (for example baroque or Gothic). The most characteristic monument is The Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. In the field of music our country has also great classical musician - Fryderyk Chopin.

People
The most often type of people is man with dark-blonde hair, blue eyes, nice temper and with a light weightness. The are always in hurry, so they eat lots of fast-foods. This kind of living is not healthy. Although Poland has quite good national foods like broth, chop, hotchpotch and the original Polish bread.
Poles are very rich or very poor – middle class is fading.

Poland is the very beautiful country, Polish women are well-know all over the world as the most beautiful. There are also many, many good things with which we could be proud of the fact we are Poles !
