Last Month I was overjoyed, when my parents gave me permission to go to Japan with a friend of mine. Though we couldn’t enjoy the trip to the end.

Okinawa, an island situated north of Japan’s mainland (biggest island), famous for its recreational features. On the other hand, Japan was notorious for earthquakes. After whole lots of preparations, we finally traveled to our destination. We were to stay there for two weeks.

My friend, Joana, is pretty knowledgeable, though she tends to be clumsy at times. Within the (our) first day of (on) our holidays, we experienced some of the Japanese earthquakes. We may be counted as lucky, as none of theme were major ones.

One day, we ran out of luck, when we went into some Arabian bar. The owner kept his wares (goods) in wooden crates on the shelves above our heads. As soon as we made our first steps to the bar, an earthquake surprised us. Some crates were unstable and fell on the floor. Joana was unfortunate enough to get smashed by one of them. I was petrified. I moved the crate in an instant.

It appeared that she had broken her arm. Of course, we had difficulties to receive treatment in Japan due to language barrier, so we had no other choice but to come back. I feel a bit guilty, as it was me, who invited her. I wish I could have fully enjoyed the trip.
