Poland is a country in the middle of European continent. It border with countries like: Russia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Germany. Historical and political past created contemporary image of society which in consideration of its cultural, religious and technical-science, was a bridge between eastern and western Europe during hundreds of years. When people think about Poland, they imagine a big village with very low standard of living. They think that every Polish man is a scoundrel, boor, drunkard and thief. It is for sure generalizationed image, but it makes that people in other countries looks down on us.

However I know that my country offers much more then this. It is really hard to annihilate bad notion about ourselves, but only we can do it. No one can help us with improving Polish people image. Our last hope are young people, who with European Union can help go abroad show all of you, that we are not so bad as we are perceile. We are very hospitable and nice. We love our families and we spend a lot of time with them. Our country is continually flourish and we are too.

A lot of popular Writers (for example: Jan Kochanowski, Adam Mickiewicz,Juliusz Słowacki), a Nobel's Prize-Winners (Henryk Sienkiewicz, Władysław Stanisław Reymont, Czesław Miłosz, Wisława Szymborska, Lech Wałęsa) and composers (Fryderyk Chopin, Stanisław Moniuszko, Karol Szymański) are or were Poles. Jan Paul II, as a Pope - Pole, had approached our country to people from all of the world.

Poland is a famous for its food and religious (Ester, Christmas Eve etc.).
Every should taste a bigos, gołąbki or pierogi. You don't know what is it? - I'm wondering over fact, that you don't really know a values of our culture, but you try to estimate us. Get to know about something, check it and then value it :).
Poland is first country, in center Easter Europe, witch entranced on the democratic way of changes and economic revolution.
It offers great travel experiences, from tre drama of the outback and the Mazury's lakes to the cosmopolitanism of Warsaw. For those more interested in sight-seeing there are many famous places to visit. One of them is Kraków, Wrocław or Łódź. There are also places where you can admire the beauty of nature like Baltic Coast or National Parks.

Sports lovers can watch football or volleyball matches and many more with our great sportsmen (Robert Korzeniowki, Robert Kubica, Artur Boruc, Adam Małysz, Otylia Jędrzejczak). If we put all this into the cultural melting-pot, that is Poland, you really have a dish worth tasting.
