New York

One of the most fascinating cities I have ever visited is New York in the USA. I have been there several times. New York, or N.Y. as it is called, is the USA’s largest city. It is situated on the eastern coast of USA. The city with a population of 8 million and superficies of N.Y. is 831 km2. There are a lot of hight-rise buldings. New York, or “The Big Apple” (as it is called) has got 5 main quarters: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island. Now, I am going to present some facts about N.Y. It’s started in 1614 by the Dutch. In 11.09.2001 in the city was an attack. 5000 people and 343 fire-fighters (FDNY) died. It was horrible. Actually, major of New York is Michael Bloomberg.
N.Y. has an easy-going lifestyle and it is an ideal place for a holiday. Middling in year city visits 39 million tourists.Tourists love the combination of sun and rain. The average temperature is about 20○C. Interesting things to do and see include visiting Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, Ellis Island, Wall Street and Brooklin Bridge. If you love walking in the parks, in N.Y.you will find 1700 parks. The biggest one called Central Park is the most beautiful. On the 5th avenue there are hundrets of shops. The biggest one in USA is called “Macy’s”. In my experiance there’s never enough time to do what you want to do.
Contrary to what people believe, New York is not a dreadful, soulless city inhabited only by cars. Admittedly, there is a lot of traffic and smog there are a lot of ‘green area’. I am concerned, with great night life, N.Y. is still a great place to visit.
