Keeping animals in zoos

Today there are a lot of zoos all over the world where thousands of animals are keept in cages or other similar places.But we can ask if this way of living is a good idea.
On the positive side,we protect endangered species from extinction.For many of them,living in unnatural conditions is the only way which can help to survive.What is more,animals are well looked looked after.They do not need to look for food,which can be very dangerous in their natural inhabitat.In addition,thanks to zoos,everybody has a chance to see exotic animals.
On the other hand,it often happens that children tease animals and give them food which is bad for them.Then they need medical care and they suffer.Furthermore,they are very often badly treated by zoo keepers.If they are not obedient,they are punished by beeing beaten or they do not get any food.Besides this,they do not have enough space and freedom so they feel unhapppy.Animals such as a leopard or panthera need much space to run about.
To sum up,I would like to say that there should be only zoos which help animals to survive and where animal;s have really good conditions with a lot of space.
