Why do young people take drugs?

Drugs are very popular among young people. Most of them can realize how drugs can ruin our life but nevertheless they still want to take them.

So since they know how drugs may be dangerous then why do they take them? At first it’s of course a curiosity. Youth is interested what it is like to be “high”. They want to try it just once, but they don’t realize that this one try can be a first step into a habit.

Also friends can bring pressure to bear on us. People who already tried drugs are saying that it’s really cool, you don’t feel anything, you only have fun and they want us to try it. If you say ‘no’ they say you are not cool, you are mollusk because you don’t want to try any drugs. That’s the second reason why people decide to try drugs.

The most of reasons for taking drugs is because of problems people have and they just want to forget about everything and drugs may make it possible. Often they’re kids from pathological families. These kids have many problems; they’re not loved, poor, they don’t have any friends, they’re lonely, their parents are an alcoholics, sometimes they beat them or order them to do strange things and all those kids want to forget about that and that’s why are they running away in “drug world”. They know that nobody would help them, and if they die, nobody would be interested in that.

But this problem doesn’t concern only the poor pathological people. It also happens to kids from very rich families. Sometimes their parents don’t have time for them, because they have a lot of work, so they may feel lonely. That kids also get a lot of money from their rich parents and they don’t know what to spend it on because they always get more and more so they decide to spend them on drugs. They want to attract the notice of their parents and that’s another reason why they take drugs.
Lately drugs are getting more popular, it’s becoming a fashion among youth but do they know about the danger of taking them? Do they know about dangerous diseases, for example AIDS? If yes, so what is the real sense in taking drugs?
