New York City

New York is America’s most populous city and the capital of finance, business and theatre.
New York was discoveries by Henry Hudson in the early 17th centaury. In 1625 the Dutch formed a settlement which they named New Amsterdam. The British took control of the city in 1664 and renamed it New York. In the 19th and the first two decades of the 20th century tens of thousands of immigrants from Europe came here and made New York the largest city in the United States. New York is composed of five big boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Richmond and Queen’s.
Manhattan is the most famed and biggest borough in the New York. The Dutch bought Manhattan from the Indians. Manhattan is divided into the East Side and the West Side. The dividing line is Fifth Avenue. Avenues with lower numbers are on the East Side, avenues higher numbers on the West Side. Manhattan is also divided, with less actness, into Lower (Downtown), Midtown and Upper (Uptown) Manhattan. The most famous street in Manhattan is Wall Street, became synonymous with American capitalism, because there are the New York Stock Exchange and American Stock Exchange. There is also the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, a branch of the national bank of the United States. The Wall Street is very crowded street in New Work. To escape the commotion of Wall Street, we can visit the nearby South Street Seaport, who is an open area of low buildings on the East River.. There are many old houses, ships, museum, shipyards and shops.
The second big borought is Brooklyn. The Brooklyn alone has so many people that if it were a separate city, it would be the fourth largest in the USA.
New York has the biggest buildings in the world. The most beautiful and famous of the art deco skyspars are the Charysler Building and the Empire State Building, who is one of the symbols of New York and part of history. In New York a are also plenty of famous places to visit like the Statue of Liberty, Castle Clinton and the Empire State Building.
In result the New York is the most famous city in the world.. It’s inhabitants come from almost every corner of the world.
