Living in the Country or in the City

Hello, my name is Chester Fire and I am 17 years old. I have been asked to write about advantages and disadvantages of living in the country or city which will be a great possibility to share with my modest experiences.
Firstly, I would like to talk about living in the country. Living in a warm and small cottage ina quiet atmosphere seems to be the best fulfilment of many people dreams and wishes.
In the country there is a fresh and clean air which in most places on the Earth is rarity and this leeds to breeding more healthy and not polluted products like fruit and vegetables. As far as I know country’s regions posses many of beautiful and charming landscapes, which don’t appear in cities, due to fast improvement of industry and high level of technology. Obviously the environment which surrounds countries is in better shape and condition.
But in fact and against humans statements there are also some drawbacks. In my view a disadvantage which strikes me the most is no entertainment. Almost all people which would like to spend their spare time on enjoyment must search for forms of entertainment in cities, sometimes suited many kilometres from village, which is not very comfortable especially cost of travel.
Furthermore, majority of country residents leads an agricultural way of life which in mostly cases is very hard and difficult.
Next, I would like to give my opinions about living in the city. I am also a part of small city society and as far as I am concerned it is the most optimal option of living, nevertheless, sometimes I am only thinking about moving to the country, because I just need some silence and calm to grab my thoughts and make the right decision from time to time.
The greatest advantage of living in a small city is that you almost never feel lonely and abandoned. You can always count on your wonderful friends which are always able to support you during bad times, in contrast to number of calleagues in the country.
Another advantage is good communication, however, there is a possibility to be stuck in a traffic jam during rush hours. There are many places to visit and lots of forms of entertainment for example cinemas, theatres, pubs etc. Youth has many opportunities to spend their free time. In the city exist a lot of organisations whose task is to make youngsters more intelligent and creative. They undoubtedly have more chances to develop thei physical and mental level.
Although everything seems to be for living in the city I must disappoint you. There are some serious problems which need a solution immediately. If human don’t become aware of what size of harm he has caused to the environment our life and natural balance will be in danger. The pollution has reached the peak.
Another drawback are noisy and crowded streets. As we well know noise don’t have a positive impact on psyche and it is a reason for headache and stress. Unfortunately the crime level is still increasing and there is a bigger possibility to become a victim se we ought to be very careful while having a walk at night and in similar situations.
Finally, taking everything into account it seems to me that it would be better to live in a city for such young people as me, despite all disadvantages, because I would like to achieve a success and I strongly believe that living in the city will help effectively.
