At the start of a meal you must say Smacznego. In Poland at the table we use a knife and fork in the manner accepted throughout Europe, i.e. we hold the knife in the right hand and the fork in the left. It is not nice to use fingers although it is allowed to eat a chicken with fingers.
When we have finished our meal, we always put our knife and fork at the middle of the plate. At the end of the meal in Poland you say dziękuję which means: thank you for your company.

There`s nothing formal that to say at the start of a meal in Engalnd. They usually have lunch at one o`clock and dinner at seven o`clock. Those meals last about half-an-hour. The English use a knife in the right hand and fork in the left. When they have finished their meal, they put the knife and fork at the middle of the plate When someone raises their glass, they say cheers. The English think that smoking during a meal is rude.
