I had been studying for this test for two weeks. I`m poor at remembering dates in history, so I had to jog my memory. As if this weren`t enough, my uncle had gone to Turkey on holiday and he asked me to look after his flat. I was at the end of my tether.

The day before the exam, I decided to spend the night at my uncle`s flat. I learnt by heart last event. It was almost 2 a.m.! Suddenly I heard some weird noises. The first place I thought it could be break-in. It gave me the creeps, but I decided to stop the burglar. I lay in wait under the stairs with plastic bag in my hand. When I saw him, I put the bag on his head. He screamed, but I managed to bind him. Then, I phoned to police.

They arrived very fast. I was meticulously interrogated. After that, the policeman took the bag off the burglar`s head. As it turned out, it was my uncle! He came back earlier than he planned, but he didn`t rang in advance and I didn`t know that the burglar could be him! Uncle was very angry. i decided to be inconspicuous. I came back to my house.

I was woken up by my mum. It was 8 a.m.! I realized that I was late. I got dressed sprinted to school without breakfast. Fortunately, the test was postponed and I didn`t have to justify my lateness.
